Made famous as a venue of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, Whistler is one of the largest ski resorts in North America. For those that love winter (or summer) activities, Whistler has something for everyone in every season.
Dana and I are not an overly active couple, but with Whistler only being just over a 2 hour drive from where we live, we decided it would be a great place to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary… and it was!
After checking into our hotel and exploring the cute village and all it’s cool shops we decided to take the Peak 2 Peak Gondola which connects Whistler Mountain with Blackcomb Mountain in a 4 km (2.7 mile), 11 minute scenic ride. Since it was September, there was no snow, but it was still beautiful to see all of the changing colors of Autumn.
The next day we treated ourselves to a few hours of relaxation in hot and cold baths followed by a couples massage at the Scandinave Spa. I really enjoyed my time there and look forward to going back. And to give you a bit of insight about me, my favorite part of visiting this spa is talking is forbidden. Three hours of silence, money well spent 🙂
